Dennis Miller was funny back in the 1980s and 90s, but not as much since he became a full-blown conservative post 9-11. He's bought into the wrong-wing bullshit that favors the corporative takeover of America and too many of our politicians. Only because I used to be a Dennis Miller fan will be interesting to hear this new special, because there are so few comedians on his side of politics with a sense of humor. But I'm sure to disagree with most of his warped views.

The Democrats and Obama wanted to pass a series of job bills to rebuild America, but John Boehner wouldn't put that bill to a vote on the floor of the House. Same with extending Unemployment since most people actually do want to work. Dennis Miller completely ignores that in his criticism of Obama.
I have issues with our President not addressed, including continuing some policies that go back to Reagan, including use of drones ( actually started with Bush, Jr.) , the NSA spying, and trade policies that only help the big corporations who hire employees in other countries who work at a fraction of what American workers used to get.

Last October Senator Ted Cruz spearheaded a shutdown that lasted 16 days and cost this country $25 billion. He used healt care as an excuse! Obamacare isn't perfect but it's a a hell of a lot better than the shitty healthcare we had previously, with insurance companies gauging people's pocketbooks. Not anymore. Pre-existing conditions are now covered -- also a good thing. 7 million more people who had no health insurance of any kind now have health insurance, and those unable to afford it are getting subsidies.....just like the oil companies and Walmart. The GOP tried to repeal it 50 times and had nothing to replace it. Most of the politicians in Washington DC don't care about us, but the handful who do are Democrats and Independents such as Senator Bernie Sanders. They talk about the issues in a factual, no-nonsense way.

Not really the point here. Even if you strongly feel one side (the left) to be superior in philosophy or action, they still fuck up enough to be worth mocking, and Miller is great at that. Additionally, there is Oprah-gang mentality in lefty audiences that make them applaud like fucking hamsters when someone on a panel says something against the right, no matter how stupid. Just watch the Bill Maher show, especially youtube the episode where Chris Hitchens tells them all to go fuck themselves.
Dennis Miller is fucking funny. Hearing someone attack your side and do it well is a chance to grow and improve. GW Bush would have been well-advised to listen to some comics on the left, would he not? When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, there were a lot of great bills that came out of it --- including one that would reverse the ongoing trend of companies outsourcing jobs overseas by bringing them back to the United States via a tax incentive. Like so many Democratic bills that would help middle and working class Americans, it died in the Senate.
Now bills that make it out of the Senate won't even be put to a vote because Speaker Boehner doesn't want to make Obama and the Dems look good.

A number of Republican senators, congressmen, and Newt Gingrich were there who decided they were going to BLOCK every meaningful piece of legislation that helps ordinary people. He admitted it to Thom Hartmann on Thom's radio show last year.

Senator Harry Reid needs to stand up to the GOP bullshit in the Senate. He did for Presidential court appointments not requiring 60 votes to avoid fillibusters. Now he needs to expand that to include ALL legislation, because if the Republicans were to re-take the Senate they would do just that in a heartbeat.

Think of it this way: Remember Chris Rock's landmark 1995 comedy concert, where he viciously mocked aspects of his own people? No white comic could have done it, and the crowd loved him for it. The Dems need a good slagging, just as ANYONE in public life does.

Lewinsky BJ jokes were open season.
But when it comes to making fun of Democrats as
honestly as Republicans ** nobody ** does it more
skillfully as Bill Maher -- hands down. That's a guy who really gets to the truth, and the truth is that the Republicans are more organized in screwing over America than the Democrats are overall. But yes some Dems are bought off by Wall Street, the
